Diving In

I was reminded today about the importance of immersing myself in God’s Word, drowning my mind in the Word till what I know in my head becomes what I believe in my heart and automatically live out.

It’s one thing to know that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you; it’s another thing to believe it and continuously act on that knowledge.

It’s one thing to know that God loves you unconditionally; it’s another thing to believe it and give no room for condemnation in your life.

If I desire for my life to be governed by the Word of God, by the reality of who I am in Christ, then God’s Word needs to be a prominent feature in my daily life.

My morning devotion time is cool. However, in order to be immersed in the Word, some more intake of the Word will be necessary. Listening to a sermon during my evening walk, or curated music as I drive to work/home, prioritizing the social media posts by pastors and teachers I follow online..

The sooner this immersion takes place the better, so I’m diving in wherever I possibly can.
